I want to announce that I will be doing another review series on cleaning and basic appearance maintenance on the M3. I will be going over some of my techniques to keeping my car in its best shape and which products I think work the best.
I am not endorsed or sponsored by any company as of this writing. I hope to keep my reviews as true to my beliefs as possible. I won't try and sugarcoat and I definitely will praise if it's deserving of! Say tuned for more info!

I was just browsing through YouTube and came across a review that I haven't seen yet. The reviewer was Chris Harris so I just let it play, wondering what he would say about the car. I predicted that he would comment on the inline six engine, the turbos, the noise and suspension setup, like most other major car magazines and reviewing sites. What surprised me was that although he did comment on each of these items, they were all in positive light. It was refreshing to see someone talk about the M3 without bashing on the same old "faults" or "perceived faults". It really made me go back and appreciate the M3 for what it is, and not wonder what could of been. Check out probably the review with the most positive light shown on the F80 M3 for a long time. (yes, I do realize it is over a year ago when it was posted but I just want to share with everyone) The latest upcoming offering from BMW and its 5 series lineup is the M550i. It's been reported to have a rear biased all wheel drive system that launches it to 60 mph is a blistering fast 4.0 seconds. It's supposed to be powered by a twin turbo V8 engine with approximately about 100 -150 HP less than the new generation M5.
This new release by BMW will mark something bold and frightening for us M3/M4 car owners. The M2 has a 0-60 time of 4.1 seconds and with this release of the M550i, it too will be up the alley of M3/M4s in terms of straight line acceleration. With more and more horsepower added each year will the M3/M4 be dethroned? I don't think so, at least not for the next few years. The M3 will handle much better than the M550i in corners and will out run the M2 in the straights. We will just have to wait a few more years and see if the M3/M4 successor will be crowned on top yet again. Check out these photos and a nice read from BMW Blog http://www.bmwblog.com/2016/11/02/real-life-photos-2017-bmw-m550i/ |
