This is how I personally would option out the new M240i. Let me know in the comments how you would build yours! The new BMW M240i lineup has just been added to the BMW North America website. You can choose and build the M240i and M240 xDrive in addition to their convertible counterparts. A fully loaded M240i is priced similarly to a base M2. For me personally, I would take the M2 over the M240 anyday, but if a tight budget is necessary, the M240 might just work out. The M240 certainly doesn't have the prestige of an M car, but does that really matter? With a claimed 4.4 second 0-60mph time, it definitely in the M2 territory. Most likely the M240 won't come with that dealership markup that most M2's have and you'll probably see a couple on your local dealership lot whenever you drop by. One downside to the M2 is that it doesn't have the all wheel drive that the M240 xDrive offers so for folks living in colder climates, this might just be the car for you. But only time will tell if the M240 is just as good as the M2 or simply a glorified 2 series coupe.
