This was the last Cars and Coffee event for 2016. But don't worry, there will be more to come in 2017! Okay, let's move on to the cars. As you can tell from the photo above, a 911R showed up. It has been limited to a total production of 991 cars. The 991 comes from the generation designation. The car was made to be a pure naturally aspirated 4.0L flat six engine. With 500 ponies, it prances on to 60mph in around 3.7s due to its manual transmission. The car wasn't made to compete on the racetrack but rather be a purist grand touring vehicle that carves the sides of a mountain like a hot knife through butter. Most of the cars were sold exclusively to 918 owners with very few going to others. Unfortunately if you wanted one today you couldn't just walk into a dealership. Without going into details, the one thing you do need is a long history with Porsche/connections. Otherwise, you can go on the used market and find one for a couple hundred thousand over sticker. Anyways, it sure looks fantastic in person! Next up on the showcase is the new Maserati Levante. It's an SUV but it sure got that signature Maserati look. Here's the rest of the cars that I saw.
