I caught the first few glimpses of an early production Tesla Model 3 earlier this week!!! I was on the highway and noticed that the car in front of me was not a typical Model S when I realized it was the newest Tesla Model 3!!!! Check out more pics below. First thing I noticed was that the car is smaller than the Model S. The backend ends more abruptly and is more hunched like the Model X. The Model 3 logo was not visible on the back of the car either. I did see a large center console. It's pretty much a large iPad laid horizontally. There is not dash for the driver to see, so that large center display will house all the essential items including the speedometer. Oh and obviously I was not the one taking pictures while driving because we all know that is extremely dangerous. I might even consider buying one as a daily. It has a 200+ mile range, which is plenty enough for a commute. And oh yeah it's not like the M where I have to fill it up every other day! But no sound unfortunately. I am waiting to see if they have tax incentives to lower the price to closer to 25k. By then I think I would pull the plug and just get one to see what the hype is all about. The car retails for about 35k, but no one buys a car with no options so it would end up closer to 40-50k for a typically spec'd car. At that point, it's just not what I want or okay with spending for this type of vehicle. Hopefully in the future there will be a ludicrous mode enabled Model 3. I suspect it will be rivaling the price of a well equipped M3/M4. Only time will tell. Until then, drive safely!
