Funny Stories: Part 1

In this series, I will talk about what I have seen when driving around my BMW M3. In every part, I will describe three instances where I felt something funny, upsetting or unique happened.

1. It was a few days after I’ve received my vehicle and I was pumping gas at a local station. Just standing and looking around for something interesting, I saw a pickup truck loaded with construction tools pull up at the pump across from me. I noticed that the passenger in the passenger side was eyeing my car as he pulled up and continued to do so. I usually don’t get any attention in my other vehicles so I was wondering if my bumper had just fallen off. But the passenger of the vehicle jumped out and exclaimed “wow, such a beauty”. I politely replied “thank you” and mentioned that I just go it. Had a little chit chat. Was bewildered at people noticing my car for the first time
2. Another time at the gas station, I pulled into the pump nearest the store entrance where the cashier had a direct line of sight to my car. That time I didn’t need much gas but it they had good prices on gasoline so I said why not. I pulled out a 20 and handed it to the cashier and he remarked “Not 50, Not 100?” I had a quick little chuckle and said my car doesn’t eat up that much gasoline.
3. I was driving along highway 880, in the leftmost lane. As I was approaching another vehicle in the lane next to mine, the driver sticks out his hand and gives me a thumbs up. But what surprised me was that he stuck his entire arm out of the window and moved it up and down, up and down and then some. I was truly amazed at how excited he was at my vehicle. Kind of nice knowing someone else appreciates a great driver’s car as well!
