Driving behind a Toyota Mirai on the highway is so annoying for me. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate electric, hydrogen fuel cell or other alternative fuel vehicles. In fact, I do believe that they have their purpose and place in our society but my issue here today is mostly irrelevant of that. Find out more below. The Toyota Mirai is a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. The only emissions that come out of the car is in the form of water. I was driving on the highway a few days back and I was driving a fair distance behind a Mirai. After a few moments I saw my windshield being covered in water droplets. The first thought through my head was that it was just a light shower. However, it was a bright and warm sunny day outside so I was confused. I brushed it off and just turned on my wipers for a moment to clear the water droplets. I was a little disappointed that I would have to go back home and clean my windshield, but hey life happens. A little while later same thing happens. More water droplets land on my windshield. At this point I think it's the Mirai that's cleaning its windshield with its fluids. A while later more water droplets. I'm getting annoyed at this point wondering why someone would be constantly cleaning their windshield on the highway in the middle of the city. Finally, I figure it out. The Mirai expells water from its exhaust....so finally I change lanes and get away from the rainstorm of droplets. Getting my M covered in exhaust water if definitely not fun. Funny experience, hope you all enjoy!
