This month's M car meetup had a fantastic turnout. With the nice weather helping, about 50 or so cars came out. It's always fun meeting new people and seeing what new mods people have do to their cars. Click below to find out what's up with these red paddle shifters and are those carbon fiber bits on the BMW logo? My friend just go these CNC machined paddle shifters online. They're actually quite readily available if you just do a quick search on Google. They mount to the paddles directly via three screws. I'm pretty sure that the screws are digging into the stock paddles which I don't like. After removal, there will be marks and scratches and probably damage. However, mounted they look great. The red color of the paddles matched with the interior red leather giving it a nice uniform theme throughout. The paddles can only be pulled back in the middle and bottom. If pulled on the top, the CNC paddles felt like it wasn't securely attached to the original paddles and also it wouldn't really pull the original paddles back far enough for a gear change. I believe these paddles are around $50 or so. I mean for the price, they look good but only downside is that the mounting will dig into the OEM paddles. The paddles were more of a cosmetic upgrade when I talked to the owner. He said that he still shifted in the middle of the paddles so not much of a difference there in terms on usability.
Take a look at what other cars showed up.
