A BMW M3 is a gorgeous piece of machinery. It's one of the best looking sedans hands down. With the good looks comes accusations and false impressions. One of which is that people think you're speeding even when you are not. The M3 is an a quiet car, it emits more sound than your Tesla Model 3 or Honda Accord. As such, a lot of non-car people immediately correlate sound and speed together. They think the louder the car, the faster it goes, which is completely false. A car parked in neutral can rev the engine and be loud but it is stationary. A Tesla going 100 MPH can be quieter than a Ferrari going 40 MPH, but doesn't mean the Ferrari is faster!
What's frustrating is that even though I am driving at the posted speed limit or even under the speed limit, I still get falsely accused of speeding. I guess, you just can't please everyone. Maybe they're ignorant, or jealous or both, but regardless, it's irritating. P.S. - Sometimes even a parked super car is accused of speeding! *I do not condone speeding of any type. Only drive at speed limits posted or otherwise a safe speed dependent on road conditions.
