I recently got the chance the check out the newest BMW M5. Find out what's new with this latest model!
The newest BMW M5 now has an all wheel drive system that can decouple the front axle to make the car rear wheel drive as well. The M buttons used to configure the driver's settings are now in red buttons above the normal controls on the steering wheel. The leather steering wheel feels right at home with a thick but not too thick grip for optimal control.

The center console controls are now in a high gloss black. It looks redesigned but isn't anything new in terms of functionality. The center control panel is now more turned to face the driver. Everything in the M does feel oriented to the driver. The passenger side is actually quite reserved.
The seats are great with lots of support and a wide array of adjustment.

I was told that you cannot push the all wheel drive system into performing 100% like a rear wheel drive platform. The main issue that I was told was that it can still overheat the transmission. However, BMW did put out that drift video showcasing the car drifting for 8+ hrs breaking a world record. What I can say is that 2 we can only wait and see what this system is capable of handling. And I do appreciate that the fastest BMW is now a M! The previous title was given to the M760i. The M5 is supposed to do 0-60mph in about 3.3s.
