Just weeks before the Bugatti Chiron, the successor to the Veyron posted a 41.96s 0-400-0 kph run. It was a record setting attempt and a successful one at that. Now Koenigsegg has posted a 36.44s run beating the Bugatti by more than 5 seconds! Find out what the differences between the two cars are down below! The Bugatti Chiron is a 8.0L W16 engine with quad turbocharges putting down around 1500HP. The beast is propelled by an AWD drivetrain that gives it maximum grip from the get go and allows it to pull hard out of corners as well. I personally think the Chiron looks so much better than the Veyron. The sleek design to the aggressive front end makes this car special. However, the Agera RS is able to put down over 1100HP via your run of the mill gasoline but it is able to get even higher HP ratings with E85. It has a twin turbo 5.0L V8 engine. There's only 25 of these ever built making it even more exclusive than the Chiron. The S and R versions are heavier than the RS. The RS is derived from technology found during the process of making the One:1. It has active aero and more aggressive weight reduction techniques. It is a RWD system only so it has massive rear tires to make them stick to the ground and not lose traction. The curb weight of the Chiron is approximately 4400lbs (cannot confirm ... ) while the Agera RS is around 3100lbs. The massive weight difference is what I think made this incredible time and difference happen. The cars are both capable of achieving 400kph speeds but the weight difference at the end make the Agera RS push to higher speeds more easily. I can believe that the Bugatti was faster off the line but at the end there was too much drivetrain losses due to the AWD system. Both are incredible cars so neither one lost in my opinion. Check out their runs below. Even better play them side by side!
