This was my first sighting of a BMW M4 GTS in person. I've read a lot about this car and seen maybe videos about it but in person it looks better than on film. This particular GTS had a frozen grey color with orange accents on the lower carbon fiber front lip and rims. Read more about it below. The BMW M4 GTS is limited to approximately 700 units worldwide. There are 300 units destined for the United States while the other are sold overseas. The car makes 493 HP and 442 lb-ft of torque with water injection. Without water injection the car still makes a sold 444 HP. The car is about 3300 lbs, a good 250-300 lbs shaved off from the normal M4. The car has a roll cage in the back that matches the orange accent theme going on with the car. The back seats are absent in this car due to the roll cage. It has a vented hood, a rear wing, and a front lip. The car shaves off weight by removing unnecessary luxuries and using carbon fiber in many places although the main chassis of the vehicle is not carbon fiber. This is a closer look at the water injection system. It's located at the back of the car and one has to open the blue latch on the right to pour in distilled water. No, you cannot put in tap water. And yes you must go to the grocery store for special water. I personally don't really find this all that innovative as a stage 1 Dinan tune would give approximately the same HP and torque figures without water injection and for a cheaper price, but hey what do I know. The car can also run empty of the distilled water and keep going. The car doesn't go into a limp mode put just operates like a competition package M4. Here are some interior shots of the GTS. I should've asked the owner to open the car up for me to take some shots but too late now. The interior is full of alcantara trim. There is a GTS logo stitched into the dash on the passenger side. The seats have a special M stripes on the headrests. The steering wheel is replaced with one with alcantara. The small vertical orange strip across the top of the wheel is to give the driver some point of reference as to how far he/she has steered. During every day driving it might be too much but it could help during track time. Here's a look at that special tool kit that comes with the M4 GTS. It includes tools to adjust the coilovers and the rear wing of the vehicle. Check out a lot more pics that I took down below
