What Did I Just Buy????

What is Requme? No, it's not just an ugly piece of pink plastic, it's something that can actually save your life and that's why I bought one! Find out what this is below.
This product has two main functions. It acts as a seat belt cutter and also a glass breaker. The seat belt cutter is accessible by pull the black safety plug out. It's a snug fit and requires quite a bit of effort to pull out. I would recommend attaching it to a key chain or something similar so you can have some leverage while pulling the safety off the device. It comes with a key ring and also a zip tie so you can actually clip it onto the center mirror of the car. The seat belt cutter seems to be quite durable. The concept is the same as an envelope opener but the blade is much thicker and sharper. After all it has to go through a seat belt and not a piece of paper.

The other functionality is a glass breaker. On the above picture you can see a black cylindrical piece. That portion is spring loaded so once it is pushed back all the way, a plunger will fire a small hard metal piece forward. It doesn't protrude very far, maybe a couple of millimeters but that force should be able to break glass. If it doesn't work the first time then a second or third go should do the trick. I haven't tried out any of these features yet on a seat belt or piece of glass but there are videos on YouTube that showcase its abilities. I got mine for around $10 so I mean it's a great value. Oh yeah, I only got the pink because it was the cheapest color when I got it and it's bright meaning I can find the device easily. The point being that I would probably need the device after a crash and finding the device easily in that scenario can be critical.
